Who we are

This privacy policy explains the privacy practices for https://drlwillis.com and its subdomains (eg. http://www.blog.DrLWillis.com). This privacy policy is applicable only to the information collected on the aforementioned website(s).

We want you to know that we are really committed to maintaining the trust you place in us.  Specifically, please know that we never sell, rent, or trade our email list with other businesses or companies for marketing purposes. It’s shady and we don’t like it. With that said, we want you feel really confident so in this Privacy Policy we’re outlining, in detail, when we collect your personal information, why we’re collecting it, and how we use it. We also tell you under what conditions we may disclose your information to others and how it’s kept secure. So sit back, relax and read on!

Types of data we collect

When anyone visits https://drlwillis.com or any of it’s subdomains, we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect and log standard details about their internet behavior patterns while on the site. This information is not processed in a way that reveals specific identifying information. More specifically, we do not make any attempts to use this service to find out the identities of those who visit our site. Please review the Google Analytics terms of service and privacy policy links for more information.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment. Comments may be evaluated through an automated Spam identification service.

Information Retention

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
