As parents, we sometimes feel a disconnect between the vision we hold for ourselves and our day-to-day reality. We often second-guess decisions, well up with guilt or shame when triggered, or give in to avoid conflict. When we cycle through these patterns again and again, we and our children end up living in a state of stable misery.
Using her innovative Elemental LivingTM Model for Family and Personal Leadership (ELM), parents will learn to demystify difficult relationship dynamics and learn a powerful tool that will help them regain their center when out of balance with their children. The ELM is a research informed model guided by imagery, brain science, and mindfulness principles. Parents will gain actionable strategies they can use immediately when those frustrations start to build and they struggle to know what to do next. The ELM is a powerful tool that takes families from stable misery to harmony and joy.
Some of us want to raise our families differently than we were raised. Others of us, want to evolve beyond the triggers and traumas that keep us stuck in unhelpful patterns with those we care about most. Dr. Willis helps audiences illuminate and break the unhelpful cycles we learned as children and bring into our parenting and marriages. When triggered, these cycles manifest in forms such as yelling, shutting down, disconnecting, giving up, or giving in. These cycles leave us, our children, and our partners feeling disempowered and living in stable misery.
Through her 5 P.A.T.H.S. to Personal Evolution Framework (Perspective.Awareness.Tools.Healing.Self-transformation), parents learn to connect, heal, and grow through their relationships with each other and their children. The P.A.T.H.S. framework is based on mindfulness principles and brain science.
Through this talk, Dr. Willis invites audiences to explore ways they can stop walking patterned paths that no longer serve them or their families. She helps audiences feel empowered to cultivate the mindsets and habits necessary to break free from stable misery and legacy burdens to they can embrace creative joy in their families.
